• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Open invite. St Clair area ride Sunday 29 Sep

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Im linking up with a couple buddies off the Burma rd on Sunday around 10 or 11. I am a B rider and the others are an A and B. We will be riding a mix of tight tight tight (Breaking Bad quote) singletrack, pole lines, rocky silliness, and whatever little spots we find to "play around" on.
PM me if you would like to link up. Probably ride from 10 or 11 til 4 or 5.

I work in Reading & live 30 mins. south of Reading. I've ridden in the Shamokin area just because a friend from work knows that area & we aren't paying to ride. My wife & I used to ride tower city back in the day when it wasn't pay to ride. Back then it was wide open & a free ride all over that "coal cracker" country. I would love to ride those trails you were on but I'd slow you guys down for sure (old bike, old guy).

Well as far as slowing us down, dont worry about that. We always take frequent stops to collect up people and also decide what the next route is. If you'd like to come up we can show you some great trails. I hope to get out again this sunday if I dont go racing.

That sounds great but I'll probably be working this weekend. I will think about it though for another time. Thanks..

yes please keep this thread rolling with dates and times i would like to meet and ride w/ gents. And i am out this Sunday also, riding up at seven mtns area.
