• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

On the move in more ways than one...

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Just picked up a new 2009 WR125 with the update kit in it for the boy. I have been reading for days in the Cafe and realize I have a lot of work to do to make it race ready. But I'm looking forward to the challange since I have the cafe info. I have around $800 set aside for the build, but we'll figure out the best bang for the buck later. We follow the GNCC and AMA East Coast Hare Scramble Series where he is currently racing in the Super Mini class. So the build is in the works for Fall and next year. (This one might end up a practice bike if the 150 is all that and then some...) For now I'll keep reading before posting a stupid question.

Really looking forward to meeting the members.

Please enjoy the picture, it's from the Powerline Park GNCC
last year as he was taking care of business on the way to first in class.
Put yourself in the seat and try not to take the rest of the day off to ride!

85cc and using it all!

I hope to see that 125....I mean 150 at river ranch next year. I know he is going to love new bike!

Nice picture :)

I certainly would not worry about asking a dumb question. No one knows everything (especially me).

Thanks, I have it in 3.5MB that made a great poster...I'm always checking the pictures and reviewing them with my son. I like his form and when you drill in on the 3.5 his eyes are looking ahead to the next corner but his tongue is doing the Michael Jordan thing, needs to watch that!

I see a lot of threads started for bike pictures, etc. I'm sure you get lots of suggestions; maybe a Forum catagory of ''Awesome Shots'' might result in some action postings that might stir the soul.

It's 8:56 am, East Coast, I need a refill... Later...

Yes, kind-of, sort-of had my name on it from the git-go...

Have you been up to see the boys at Toy Tech?

I bought one of the first 08 TE250's that made it into the country in Jan 08 from Toy Tech. Had money on it since Aug 07 and it killed me to wait that long for it. Love the bike (now a 300) and Toy Tech always treated me great - you'll like working with Scott and Chris.

I saw your bike on the display floor back in mid May. I was drooling all over it. I think Chris managed to get most of my saliva stains off your seat!

I'm just happy to give you a reason to post the little laughing dude...:notworthy:

Toy Tech has been helping the boys and I over the last 5 racing seasons. Just never a Husky for the youth riders. He started out racing a CRF80, moved to the RM85 and now the RM105 Super Mini.
The stroked 105 in the 85L frame is crazy, hopefully a lot like a good running WR125.

I think " Dumb Questions" is my middle name sometimes. You will always get a reasoned and kindly respose here Mate.
