• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

OK. Where the heck are the 2011's in the USA?

What's going on? Are we headed for another 2003? I've spent my new Husky money on a damn kitchen floor and countertops. I had 7K in cash waiting on a 2011 TC 250. Gone.

WAKE UP Husky USA.

No shit! Husky send me my 449 pr 511 so I can test and promote the hell out of it for you!

HELLO........

Your customers are waiting. :banghead:

How about a big fat supply of clothing too? Is it to much for us to ask you to sell us expensive stuff so we can advertise for you?

Hello?

Ok....someone edumacate me...what happened in 2003?

The Husky factory flooded and production ceased for a period. Engineering and production staff were layed off. Only a limited number of 2003 TE610E Dual Sport bike made it to the US. No other 2003 bikes were availible and the new twin cam 4 strokes were delay for another year. Husky had been making steady progress in the US market with Cagiva USA, but this was a big set back. Cagiva USA had to lay staff off and never quite recovered from it.

I have one of those. With just a little over 2000 miles on it. Bought it in April. It's a bit dated by modern standards, but I love the bike.

I take it to Hollister Hills State Vehicle Recreation Area and it's the only bike like it there. I have seen a couple newer red and white Huskies (not at the same time, though).

I have a Shoei Hornet DS helmet with the small peak and a faceshield that I wear on the street. I had left my mirrors on the Husky and was riding around the park wearing the Hornet. Some guy flagged me down because he thought I was a ranger. :excuseme:

:)

I could see that happening. The bike is shaped a bit different than most dirt bikes.

2011 TE250/310 and TXC250s are in Canada now. I am expecting some early next week.

Have you ever teased a kitten with a piece of string? It feels like that... :p

Didn't this just happen with GG and the States too? Why is there such a hold up getting bikes over here? (States)

It's like deja vu.:banghead:

I'm sure the Husky/States thing will happen soon enough.

The GasGas are here now but the first load was held up in customs for 2-3 weeks I think. All that and they opened one crate! Husky should be able to at least tell us when they "should" get here.

I agree. Not knowing is the hardest. You would think with H/C being such a well know site someone would chime in and at least say their on a boat or being shipped next week...or at least some kind of info.

While you are all waiting for the 2011 bikes I am praying for a new CR 250 6 speed for 2012 At least i have some time to save up and dealer want to confirm it is a real thing comming and you can have my money now

I have been told '11 310 will be here end of November/1st of December. 449/511 will be here the 1st of the year. Not sure on others. If any consolation, WR 150 was here in June.
