• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

OK, how about a 7.5 ounce battery!!!

Testing a 1.5 Turntech on the EFI TXC250. I'm guessing it might not turn the starter but we will see. It weighs 7.5 oz

yeah, the plastic Office Depot Priority Mail scales are the most accurate for my side biz. Dork. I did take a soil sample or two Sunday :D

I went overkill on the connectors, they are probably an ounce. The cells that make up the batteries weight a total of 170ish grams ( 0.38lbs or 6 ounces). I will be suprised if they spin the bike fast enough to start, but should allow the FI and computers to run.

Take 7.5 ounces of sticky bud, wrap in in plastic, stuff a cable out the end and say your testing it. Good one. If you need a second opinion ship it up here and I'll grade it for ya.

If Arnold gets his way next week you'll be taxed $50 an ounce when you ship to Cailifornia.

Cali's drug dealers will be replaced by ammo dealers. They'll need some stamina to stand on streetcorners wearing a 80 lb trench coat that's full of lead.

I have the 2.5 in my 10 txc250. Sometimes it doesn't have the juice to turn the motor. It takes several stabs at the button to fire. I can't imagine the 1.5 working with the estart.

No but it is so light and small it will be a great option to put in your pack if you have a bat failure way out on the trail. BTW my 2010 TXC250 kick starts super EZ.
