• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Off-roading at Bend, Oregon. Pretty cool video I posted on Youtube

Thank you for posting. I love watching Vids from different countries. Recon I would love a Blaaaat around your piece of heaven Mate.

Glad you liked it buddy, feel free to contact me when you visit the States - we can easily put you on a ride with us (we have plenty of bikes and gear)

Looks like a great place to ride and would like to get out your way someday. Thanks for posting. Merry Christmas.

That is where I grew up and learned to ride. Back then it was all open riding. There was a large desert racing community back in the day. Once desert racing gets in your blood it is permanent. As a kid we would ride from town, out to Milican for gas, over Pine Mountain to the pot holes. Amazing stuff back then.

I love the more open riding since I can really let the motor be all that it was designed for. Would'v loved to live near your neck of the woods to ride on a regular basis.

Sorry, looks boring to me! At least your riding. I prefer sick, nasty, rock and root infested singletrack. Still fun for a day or first or last ride of the season.

I live in the Bend area and don't like riding out there either. It is boring to me too. My friends and I know of better areas closer to Bend that are way more fun, tight, and challenging. Most of our area is pretty easy to ride but can be hard due to the rocks and type of dirt we have. Just look at my avatar. That's not East Fork Rock OHV. It's about five minutes from Bend.

Yo Dude! Not putting down your riding area! Just saying....... Like I said at least your riding****************************************! If you do ever get up MN way, give me a jingle. 3 decent areas within a hour and a half from my place!! You guys must have some tight singletrack closeby??

:cheers:sounds like a plan to me, i will for sure do that. I actually live in MN! We travel twice a year to go ride with some OR/WA buddies out there in Bend. Since there is no snow I might actually go riding in Appleton, MN on Saterday - it sounds like it will be mid 40's, nothing that some warm gear cant handle.

Nice video.Playing with fire sweet.Good music and I like the laughing too.The first part of the video was the best .
