• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

OEM chain

You're welcome, I got the the basic lift stand a few months ago and it's much better than expected. The site links directly from G2, so figured it was legit. My 3rd order and all have shipped the next day, no issues. Smith Enduro goggles with roll offs, visor and bag are only $39!
If you send a message you're from CH, he'll reply and maybe send little bennies ;) Nice guy, I sent a couple messages encouraging him to stock up and promising to check when I needed stuff. Nice to give the little guy some biz too!

done deal. figured i would go with the wheeled model since it hardly cost any more...ive never actually had a proper bike stand, just used a rubbermade garden bench thing. actually worked well for years, just tired of picking the bike up! the chain deal is hard to pass up, even comes with 2 masters. my tsubaki omegas i usually get are over 100

A guessing game for you chaps - but no prizes!

One chain has covered 1867 miles in nearly 97 hours
The other chain has covered 436 miles in 23 hours

Same rider, same bike, same conditions, same lubrication (or not!) regime.
To be fair, the chain with more miles has seen some worse conditions.

Yes, that's right. The top chain has done the least miles
Top one - RK chain.
Bottom one - Regina chain as original.

Although the top one has two more links in it, it is actually 3 links longer now, it's stretched that much.
The RK wasn't that much cheaper either.

Obviously, a new Regina has gone back on the bike, and I look forward to not having to adjust it as much!
