• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Heading through Bend and HR this week and then up to Seattle and return. Looking like some rain tuesday and wednesday which I am hoping means good for China Hat or Millican. If anyone else is looking to ride in the area mid week or an idea of trail conditions, post up. May ride shasta monday. Have to see where a day driving gets me.

Driving a vehicle with 4 wheels with your 2013 TE310R in tow? Or riding your Ducati up?
Regardless, it seems like you are going right by me, let me know if you want to meet going north or south...

Yes... All packed in the sprinter to head out in the morning.. I normally end up at Willows or Redding. Thought maybe ride at Shasta but would be cool to meet up if your near and monday morning works.

Its all good, and my schedule is loose.

I am due west of a town called Winters on 505 and apparently your first stop (Willows or Redding) would be well north of me.
In case you were not aware there is a spectacular riding area about 45 minutes due west of either Willows or Williams off of I5 called Stonyford. About 50K acres last I checked.

Actually the entire Mendocino National forest is nice, even just the fire roads.

Well looks like I made good time as just north of Dunnigan. 12:30 now and stop for lunch. Looked at Stoneyford on riderplanet and looked good
May have to meet on my way south as I might make it all the way to Bend tonight or Klamath Falls..

Dunnigan has the cheapest place to buy fuel around, hope you filled up.
By the time you read this you will be nearing Williams/Redding.

Yes it sounds like the trip down would be the time to meet - will send my phone number.

Made it to Bend.... Raining now. China Hat and Millican than up to the Gorge and ride w/Kelly. Beer tastes really good after my $280 speeding ticket south of Klamath Falls :-\

I climbed up on his ass at 80.( The sprinter is speed limited at 82! I didn't notice the type across the rear and the low profile light, probably because of all the bugs splattered on my windshield but he pulled off and that's when I saw he was a cop. He followed me to a rest stop before turning his lights on. Nice enough guy and I had no excuse.

responded. Been absolutely beautiful here for months. you show up and bring the rain :) Hood River is a sloppy slick mess when wet and not fun. Might want to plan another area for thursday.
