• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Number plate front / side decals?

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hi cafe husky,

I’m curious as to what decals people are using for numbers? I’m looking for plain Jane decals. Black background with white numbers for my classification.

I’m leaning towards Bikegraphix. From what I can tell I like the quality and application.

I’m all ears to option if anyone has had good, better, and worse experiences.

option Ive been using for years is decalmx, personal service call in and discuss your requirements and they will email out a proof.
https://www.decalmx.com

Also we now have Signart graphix local supporters of the sport, I use Natalie and her crew for all my sticker jobs.

also like huskynoobee said if out for cash savings ebay is full of graphics. I chose FLU designs from ebay for my YZ125 project I think the entire full graphics kit was about 50 bucks.

Thanks guys for the comments. It’s totally not about the money. It’s more about quality and ease of installation. I went ahead and purchased from bikegraphix and decalmx. I’ll keep them both and see what I like better. I’ll report back when they arrive.

Sounds good.

Did you just order your number backgrounds, or whole graphic kits?

I ordered front and side plates. Black background with white numbers. Nothing fancy.

My bike with complete DecalMX graphics, and a second where I have mixed in a different set of shrouds with inexpensive graphics (still using the same side panels from DecalMX).
I take off the stock plastics and buy a whole new set up, saving them for resale.
A whole new set of generic Acerbis plastics is only like $125.00. The stock shrouds with the impregnated decals are worth hanging onto without stickering over.

I also replace the plate and side plastics. I’m going to put away the originals if and when I sell it. I do like that the yellow stripe on the new plastics is not there. I like it much better all white.

I like Bike Graphics plus they sent little extra stickers.... I've also used Rocky Mountains Attack stuff and they were good.... now I use Super G....
