• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

North Atlantic AHRMA races Vintage/Post vintage & more

Planning on coming to the West Virginia race as of now. Hopefully my work schedule will still be free by then. Racing at South Carolina this weekend on an IT250. Couldn't quite get my MR250 Elsinore ready in time.

Sweet man. What yeAr is that it? I have an 83 it250 that's a blast. Did the xc at mckees sky ranch last year which was fun but sooooooo wet. See u there look for a white nissan truck a husky and an it.

I think the IT is a '77 or '78. Forget which, I'm borrowing it. I did one of the ISDT qualifiers in Alabama last year on a '78 IT125 and I had an absolute blast on it. I wish I could talk my friend into letting me buy it off him. I would eventually like to get an IT175 or 200.

If I'm at WV, I'll be on the '76 MR250. I'm always in my red and gray '93 GMC van, 1 ton 15 passenger. My buddy letting me use the IT this weekend will be with me on an '82 Husky CR250. Looking forward to this weekend for sure. Got most of stuff ready to go in the van already except for the bikes which we're loading up tomorrow after I take an hour or so to get used to his bike at his farm.

Yes the IT200 is supposed to be the ticket, llght nimble and not too squirrly. I love my 250 can get me in and out of trouble in a hurry. Sounds awesome good luck in SC. I will look for you at Tomahawk WV, and at Terra Alta Mckees Sky ranch I think those are the only WV races. You have to hit Lake Sugar Tree at the end of the season. If youve ever ridden there you know why I say that. Beautiful course.

Ended up getting 4th in Historic Open the first day. Beautiful weather. Sunny and 72 and the course was awesome! Got the holeshot then went too hot into the third turn and stalled on the brakes trying to avoid running though the ribbon. Everyone passed me and I spend the first lap trying to catch up.

Today was raining all day and it ended up being really muddy and challenging. Only managed 2 laps before I got lapped by Terry Cunningham right at the end. I was going to stop anyway. I was sliding all over the place in the grass track sections.

I'm going to try and make it Terra Alta at least. Didn't know about Tomahawk. Can't wait to finish my bike now. The IT was fun though.

The IT makes for a nice vintage woods bike, loaned a IT200 to a buddy of mine to run Chester CC and he up a placed 3rd intermediate first time back out racing in near 30 yrs….. Had nothing but fun and a great time at the event with some awfully good folks.

That's great. I need to move to the south, Sunny and 72 must be nice just snowed here 2" in Lancaster pa. Tomahawk near martinsburg wv has mx but does have a xc course. But ahrma na runs mx twice a year which I race the wr400 is an awesome course not to rough for the small suspension bikes. I raced my it250 there last year cause I had a mechanical on the husky. Terra alta is awesome xc and mx. See u there

Where's Chester cc?

Chester SC / Carolinas White Lightning cross country 2nd and 3rd round of the ahrma cc schedule. It’s about 45min or so south of Charlotte NC, a fair step from Pa. but a great event and perhaps a early chance of riding in milder weather.

Sounds great if i was 5 hours closer.... a friend of mine went down and competed on his Hodaka, Jerry Allison, on a 100cc 60+ class. looks like a good warm lup for the season. Im doing a modern harescramble up north of me a couple hours called Evansville MX, berwick PA on a modern honda crf450. That will be the first I rode that beast in a modern D6 Harescramble. Im pumped but I know I will get whiskey throttle and ditch it at some point which is half the fun.

Man, I wish I would've got my camera out. I didn't take one picture the whole time and there were some really cool bikes there. Looking like I might be the only yahoo out there with a MR250 though. I was kinda hoping someone would have one so I could pick their brain a little. Got the bottom end sitting in the frame now. Friday I'm off so I'm going to try and finish it up. Still need to weld a bracket to the frame for my silencer, and I just picked up a plastic tank on eBay. Hopefully it'll be here when I get back in town from working in San Diego.
