  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Got home from work today to find a letter from Husqvarna Australia in the letter box informing me of a promotion that is applicable to all 2012 TE 250's and 310's
The promotion offers an EFI performance upgrade kit, FREE OF CHARGE****************************************

The kit consists of a 12 hole injector and ECU for enhanced fuel mapping, throttle response and engine performance.
So everyone in Australia that has purchased a 2012 TE250 or 310 will be receiving this kit, not sure if it's a worlwide promotion or just an Aussie thing, but a big well done to Husqvarna for sending out the upgrade kit free of charge, which retails for $500 here in Australia, once again thank you Husqvarna!!
 
Jesus wept! Here in Europe, they don´t want to know. The only service and maintenance facility here is a hole in the wall. You´ve gotta be dedicated to own a Husky (or a masochist ... my other bike´s a CCM!)
 
I don't understand why the 2012 bikes did not get the 12-hole injector stock (installed at the factory).
 
Would be nice if it were world wide AND offered for the '11s since that was also the X-lite motor with the same issues. I just paid $400 to get the kit installed and tweaked...grrrrrr.

'cause it's a Paul Feeney thing, not a world wide thing. Is an incentive to buy the bike. It's up to the dealer if he charges to fit it or not.
 
Id trade my te449 for a 2012 te310 iff i could afford it.My 449 has too much power for me really.:eek:
