  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The verbal handshake has happened and a new WR 300 will be headed from Bill's Motorcycles Plus in Salem to my garage in Eugene this Saturday morning.

Woo Ho...o and it will be great to have a good 2-stroke.

TE610 for the road and dirt road, WR300 for off-road and track.

I just think of this as my little contribution to Bills shop move; one less bike to roll across the parking lot to the new building.

First mods coming up ... Hyde Skidplate, Keihin carb and bigger tank.

Thanks again to Bill for being a great dealer.

I used to think I liked riding those trails on my yz250. Until I got the 300, that is.

SOOOOO much easier, which results in less fatigue, less crashing and longer rides!

Congrats on your new 300 and from everything I've read I sure your gonna enjoy it. That was mighty nice of you to help Bill reduce his moving inventory.

Nice! There's not much better than day 1 with a new bike.

How many times have you been to the garage to admire it so far?

Taskys said they cant get any more 09 and 10 300's. Supposedly they are all gone everywhere.

Bill said the same. He has one more 300 in stock though.

'A few' ..... Getting ready to mount the bigger tank.

One left huh?

Hmmm?

Think my wife would notice another bike in the garage?

We've got 5 now, whats one more, right?

Very tempting.

Congrats on the 300!

I had my WR125 tore down greasing all the bearings the day I brought it home. The wife just couldn't understand why I would tear the new bike apart. Silly wife.... :D

I believe they still have 1-2 125's i know where one is if anyone wants one.

Edit - Taskys does have WR125's and WR250 at screaming deals.

who makes the bigger tank? and what size is it?

It is a Clarke tank 3.7 gal. It is listed as an earlier 4 stroke tank, but it fits right on. Just had to trim the radiator shrouds a bit. I will post up a pic when I get home.
