  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc New WR125 Owner - Jets and starting

C Class
Hi there,

New WR125 owner - 2012 model

I had my first run our Sunday and the bike ran great although it was difficult to start when warm. First kick from cold but from warm it wouldn't start unless I rolled the throttle on to about 1/4.
I have read that they are jetted rich on the pilot circuit from standard. I have gone through the bike and set the float to 8mm as read on here in another thread. The start jet is 80, needle standard 74, middle clip, AS out 1.5. no. 4 slide, 45 pilot. I haven't messed with the air screw yet but is this pointing towards a rich pilot mixture? Should it be kicking from no throttle? its set to tick over although its a little low.

Needs new tyres. I noticed that the WR runs a 120 rear and the CR a 100. Is the 120 the best bet for a replacement size?

Better get my Husky t-shirt now!

sounds like its right on if its starting easy with the throttle on. maybe a touch rich, but thats how i like them long as theres no spooge or fouling..try leaning that air screw 1/4 or 1/2 turn.
