  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New TC449...Thanks Santa!

Looking for advice on stuff to do to this bike to optimize performance...most of the threads here are related to the TE models,,so....
Planning on the following:
- ZipTy Oil Recirculation kit
- Earth x lithium battery
- XF+ Coolant
- S/S re-usable oil filter
- ZipTy Chain guide
- Rotor guards
- Mobil 1 0-40 oil

Any other suggestions???

Would a FMF and re-map, (orPCV) be worth the expense?
Planning on alittle OldTimers MX racing and some local trail riding

Thanks for any advice!

Walt

Stock exhaust isn't too bad and it's quiet. Full power from megabomb/4.1rct combo, what I run. Most of the things on your list is good. Chain guides are TM or BRP, I prefer the new BRP desings.

save you money on the FMF and use it towards suspension upgrades, I have the same bike and bone stock you can win in the vet class every race, the only thing I changed was a 51t rear sprocket to help ring it out some.

Thanks rappster, fortunately I am only about 1 1/2 hours from ZipTy...will eventually take it over there for a suspension tune-up

Hey Walt! Roger here. You may remember me from our recent local ride with Elmar from Germany.

Congrats on the new Husky! Looking forward to riding with you again.

Did three 20 minute sessions on the MX track at Hungry Valley today.....man do I hurt all over! Especially the arms and hands from HANGING ON TO THIS THING! Great fun though...will keep at it and beef up the work-out program ; hopefully it will get less painful!
Thanks Roger, would love to ride with you all again.
