  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Afternoon all, just thought i would pop in and say Hi, I hope this is posted in the right place.?? I am 54 years old and ride a suzuki GSX 1400 K2 as a road bike. I have been riding off road for many years Hare and Hounds and a few motocross tracks. I have allways rode KTM 2 strokes but had my last one stolen a few weeks ago, so with the insurance payout I thought I would try a 4 stroke and see if I like it. Just got a TE 410 year 2000 for £1,100 and very tidy it is too with low mileage and looks like its never been off road. So off I headed last sunday for Salisbury Plains to get her dirty well quite impressed I was, much heavier than my KTM was and has not got the twitchy back end like 2 strokes have, but plenty of low down torque. I hope I can get used to a 4 stroke because it seams a nice bike.
Are there anythings I should look out for on this model, or any traits it has or mods that most of you do ??? I know 2 stoke KTMs inside out, but not sure about the Husky 4 stroke so any help you have would be greatly received.

Regards Gordon
