• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New Motoz DOT tire coming...

Hmm, I wonder if it'll do better than the 600-700 miles I got out of my non-DOT Motoz. I'm back on Pirelli MT 21's and they're wearing a lot better. I put down too many street miles for the regular Motoz

FIM legal sucks since it limits the tread depth to something like 14mm.

if I'm buying a tire I want the max tread depth possible for wear reasons,so I can get the most mileage for the $$$$.

Any news Kelly...last year I got an Enduro IT front from you and love it ... when my Pirelli MT21 Trials rear needs replaced, I'm planning on an Enduro IT rear...120-90-18 and if it was DOT that would be even better. I occasionally ride blacktop on my TE.

Unless I miss my guess, a tire approved by DOT or not is pretty much just the red tape and money involved in getting DOT approval by the manufacturer isn't it? I've had a DOT approved rear knobby that was so agressive looking you'd swear it wouldn't be DOT approved (forget the brand) before I put my MT21 trials tire on (which by the way isn't DOT and looks like it should be). What I'm getting at here is I hope Motoz isn't compromising the awesome tires they're making in any way - traction or rubber compound - to get DOT approval. Do you know if the tread pattern and compound will be the same as the tried-and-true tires you currently have? If not, I may buy one of the old non-DOT approved tires from you.

I do not know the details yet and have not seem them. I had hoped they would be here by now. But, i believe they will be much like the standard IT tires which is to say very good.

Definitely interested, if they come in TE630 sizes! I loved the non-dots, but I ripped through them too quickly. Pavement eats them alive. If they're built to withstand more pavement miles, I might give them another go.

Any news yet on these tires? Kelly you have any non dot tires in? I want to pick up a few as my tractionator is well worn.

Manufacturing issues pushed everything back is what i am told. There are ST's in stock, thats about it.

No, feel left out in the cold. It is a manufacturing issue on the entire line, not sure whats up. No inventory still. Told "soon"
