• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Did you honestly think I would break a promise to Husky?

There will be something for everyone

Even the smokers also!

Stay tuned to your local dealer and hang tough.

Ok Joe how long do we have to "hang tough"? I am ready to pull the trigger on something. Heck I am even checking on the Gas Gas 250 now.

Me too! That 2011 EC 250 is SWEET.

So as of now (5:22 AM EST on 7/14/10) we have ten more days until Husky says what we can look for in their new line up?

Gas gas looks nice. It has all you need for off road without having road stuff to remove.

Yamaha may have a factory WR version of there yz 2t...that would be a great package and they would sell tons of them.

I'm waiting for the fall before trading my next bike. I also need a bike that has some sort of backing at the ISDE in Finland or lease option...the plan is to sign up for it next year. A 250 2t is more appealing for reliability reasons. The ''old'' husky wr250 is out for me, I can't get used to this bike.

Those new GASGAS are really good looking. I like the color changes much better than the last couple of years.

Still not crazy about the new style "Buzz Lightyear" front fenders everybody's going to.

Heck I don't even know what the Gas Gas letters stand for ie; XC and EC but they sure do look Sweeet.

the EC has the heavier flywheel weight(you can walk faster than the bike without stalling it),quieter exhaust and if you are in canada or overseas you get the directionals and the rest of the street gear

the XC has a lighter flywheel weight for more snap(but still lugs very well)and comes with fmf pipes and FMF Q spark arrestor, minimal lighting harness for front and rear lights

typically you have to order a true "EC" in the states ,most of what you see on the dealer floors are XC models

It worked for me. They need a non street version of the TE125 to grab some new bike rider sales from the Yam, Kaw , & Suz 125's.

Amen brother. If it's anything like it's big brothers I'd love to have 2 of them. 1 for wife, 1 for daughter. Pretty good specs for their size and skill levels.
