    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

New Husqy 2011 to race Mexican Enduro Championship

Mexican Nextel - Husqvarna Team will race the new Husqvarna 2011 during this weekend on the last date of the Mexican National Enduro Seires at Valle de Bravo.
Nextel - Husqvarna Team will look for the correct setup on the coming 2010 ISDE to be celebrated in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico.

José Luis Pérez estrenará su Husqvarna en el Nacional de Enduro

La última fecha del Campeonato Nacional de Enduro de Motociclismo a realizarse en Valle de Bravo será el lugar donde José Luis Pérez debutará con su nueva motocicleta HUSQVARNA y con la misma que competirá en el ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) que se realizarán en noviembre próximo en Morelia, Michoacán.

El integrante del Team NEXTEL-HUSQVARNA utilizará esta competencia para afianzar su segundo sitio en la clasificación general de la categoría E2, pero sobre todo para experimentar la sensación de una motocicleta que tiene una potencia de 500cc.

”Valle de Bravo nos permitirá conocer el potencial de la nueva motocicleta y con la cual representaré a México. Una vez que ya tenemos asegurado el subcampeonato en el nacional nuestro objetivo es llegar mejor preparados para la competencia mundial, las denominadas olimpiadas del Enduro. Esta competencia me permitirá acoplarme a la potencia de esta nueva HUSQVARNA”, indicó Pájaro quien es integrante de la Monster Army México.
José Luis Pérez será uno de los dos representantes de México en la categoría E3, la de mayor potencia dentro de la clasificación del ISDE. Pájaro tendrá aproximadamente mes y medio para conseguir la adaptación a esta motocicleta tras competir en 450 cc.

”Me eligieron para esta categoría porque soy el que mayores aptitudes mostró para poder adaptarme a los cambios de potencia de una motocicleta. Tengo poco tiempo para adaptarme, pero por lo que sabemos esta motocicleta tiene una buena puesta a punto desde su creación, así que solo debemos trabajar en los detalles del setting para adaptarla a mi manejo y realizar algunas modificaciones a las suspensiones”, señaló Pérez quien también es patrocinado por DC Shoes.

A partir de este momento, Pájaro tendrá unas semanas para poner a punto la HUSQVARNA 2011 con la cual buscará conseguir la medalla de oro para México.
