  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just posting to say HELLO**************************************** I just picked up a new WR300 a few days ago and spent some time here reading about them before I made the buy... Nice machine, coming off a 02 KTM 520EXC and have not owned a 2 stroke since my 93 RMX250 that I keep till 2002.

Highly considering an auto clutch and some protection....

Great site, lots of info here....

WR300s are a hoot. Enjoy. Welcome. Whereabouts on the planet are you located?

Thanks everyone, I live in the southern half of New Jersey where there is actually lots of woods and lots of racing, Hare Scrambles, enduros and a bunch of dual sport rides.

I got a Z-start Pro sitting on the bench in the garage, hopefully only until my wife comes home today. Then install time! Reckluse makes an EXP as well now...:excuseme:

My Rekluse is sitting on the ping pong table in the garage, soon to go in as well. I emailed Mike at Rekluse and asked him which would be better for h/x & x/c's the EXP or the Z-start pro. This is what he said.

Hi Steve
The Z-Start Pro is a great product all around and when you compare it side by side The Z-Start Pro is the better performing clutch I would personally stick with what you ordered. I hope this helps if you have any further questions please feel free to contact me via E-mail or by phone.

I have an 2011 WR 300 with the Rekluse Z start pro and I love it. I'm in Washington and ride alot of single track with switch backs. I'm not the best rider (yet) but the auto clutch has made me a faster rider. It basically lets me ride one gear higher because I have more control. let me know your carb and jetting. I'm trying to get mine dialed in.
