• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I just ordered a 2008 SM610. Can't wait to get it, but apparently I will have to wait a week or so. Good thing, I need a new helmet. Any suggestions? I am so excited. Can't wait to get on it and go.

Yeah, I've got a suggestion: You might as well sell any other streetbikes you've got lying around in your garage, because they're just going to be collecting dust from now on:D

Congratulations on the new bike

I already know about the SMR's I had a KTM SMR that I loved until I got tired of maintaining it.

I wonder what do you get extra for the R model that I didn't get for my regular 08 610 model???

Hell, I didn't even knew Husky made an 08 610R model.....:excuseme:

:D Congrats buddy you're going to LOVE IT :applause:
As far as helmets goes I had to get a new one too first thing, as my Schwantz replica was way to old
I got a modular ZOX svs it has some neat features and the price was right
Good luck with your purchase and welcome to the club
(nice angle on the pumpkin...)

Oops...sorry for assuming, "New Guy" on your "New SM610" :D

As far as helmets go, I'm very happy with my Arai XD. It's gotten to the point that I wear it even on my full-on streetbikes. My Arai street helmet doesn't have a visor like the XD and I miss it greatly.

PS: Your roadrace roots are showing :-)

I solved the helmet issue today, I bought another X-Eleven. This time a white one, I am sure it will work as well as the last one. I augered in at 60 face first in the dirt with mine. Did well, just bruised a bit.
