  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi everyone after much web trawling, reading, visiting dealers i have at last this morning ordered the 2010 te310.. as my new weapon of choice. it is my intention to try some amatuer enduros in 2010 having just been on the mx practice tracks for a few visits to see whats what..
im coming from a 05 YZF 250... so im hoping my research has been wise & the new bike will give me enough power to keep me happy and be a touch on local enduros...
i may stiffen the suspension / change springs for a few trips to the mx track when and if required....
Having looked at all the other options my final decision was decided upon the following..

Local main dealer.. (GH Motorcycles) helpfull friendly and races the bikes so has good understanding of them.
Warranty 2 yr & looks easy to maintain... valves etc so good value service costs..
The bikes look stunning... had one last look at the ktm this morning my preference was the husky & how simple & well engineered it looked
Not one bad review found few issues with the EFI on early models but these can all be sorted easiliy if not already. .did look at the new TE 250 but decided the 310 slightly cheaper.. may have slightly easier power delivery... & low down grunt not riden so this formulated from reading reviews & advice from huskysport uk. got to say fantastic advice from huskysport even though my bike would be purchased at my nearer dealer.. thumbs up chaps... & thanks..

Now just got to get through the buyers remorse bit... whilst i wait for the bike to be unpacked and built!!

trying not to tell the wife how much i spent! is going to be fun..

See you around...

AJ

Hi Andy,

Welcome to Husqvarna ownership and many thanks for the positive feedback, we do try! :-).

If you need any further help / advice then feel free to contact us directly although there's a very high standard of information available on Cafe Husky as well as from GH too so you're well supported.

Enjoy the 310...

Cheers...Dave

Welcome! Wise choice in my book! Love the compromise between the 400/450's and the 250. Think you'll be VERY pleased. The more time on the motor, the better she runs. I for one don't feel as if mine is down on any power compared to any bike I've owned frankly. Think I really honk my buddy's off considering I'm on their tail all day riding my 310 when their on 450's and 525 punkins! Yeah... Think you'll be very pleased, and surprised as just how much juice your 310's got under the hood. Enjoy!
