  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc NEW 2013 WR125 WOO HOO

AUSKY

Husqvarna
AA Class
I finally took delivery of my new 2013 WR125 the other day & I was stoked!!
What a beautiful bike to look at as well as ride. I love the black frame, polished hubs, the old Husky shape, not like the 4 strokes & dripping with quality components all over it.

It has a lot more torque down low & more pull up top than my 1996 WR125 & that's in stock trim with 13/50 gearing, the Mikuni carb was running slightly rich.

The suspension was quite plush although I have only ridden it on the road due to my work commitments & not enough time at home. I cant wait for easter when Im gonna ride the wheels off it. Brakes are awesome and worked exceptionally well. The dash is nice & neat & you can read the speedo without dodging the cables & it also came with a Husqvarna bar pad..about time!!

Airfilter access is a breeze with the release of the one Dzus fastener on the seat.

I was dissapointed in the amount of grease on the steering head bearings as there was just enough to stop them rusting, so the whole bike is getting the big grease up on all bearings & anti seize on the axles & swing arm pin.

I just wish I could get to spend more time riding it. A few goodies coming from the good ol USA via Motosportz so I will keep you all tuned.

Congrats on the new purchase I'm picking mine up tomorrow (Sat). I'll be doing the same thing with the bearings. Did the shop tell you what jetting they put in it ?

It was as per the manual i was told 72Racerx, I'm not exactly sure
not that it really matters as Kelly is setting me up with a 36mm Lectron

Congrats damo - there's nothing quite like a new bike
It will be interesting to see how you go with it and what you do
I've kept the rego but pulled off all the road gear including speedo when I went to the cr ignition
So you like the ignition compared to the cr ? I suppose its hard to compare as your other one is more modified

Thanks Ash
I love the smell of a new bike as it heats up:D
Ignition is smoother than the Cr, my 1996 WR has more hit but the 2013 has more torque off the bottom

Interesting when its still running rich mikuni and still better down low
Compared to your keihin 36mm
About to go out for a real test on mine
Heaps of rain so seems like the weapon of choice

Yep road legal as it is from the factory
Great bike especially with the lectron carby such smooth power now compared to the mikuni

Great looking bike. I think I need to buy one. Just gotta justify what happens to my 2012 Kato 350...hmmmm, cant ride 2 at once
