  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TXC should be right out of the crate. TE's take a little massaging to get them right.

TXCs run pretty strong. We've been winning races with everything stock except suspension set up for rider.
Added TM Designworks skid plate...didn't make it any faster. Its durable, but the mounting setup is a bit of a kit.
Just started running an FMF pipe. BMP downloaded 'open pipe' map. Now its louder, faster and throttle is almost too responsive.

Like Mike says, you really dont need to do anything but tighten and lube everything and change oil religiously.

Thanks for the input guys I'm looking forward to breaking it in this weekend. Thought about taking baffle out and air filter screen as well.

The OEM Leo Vince dB insert out will most likely require/be best to run the open map.
The machine runs very well in OEM insert installed set up (FYI) and may be a little less hyper in this mode.
PS my sponsor shop is getting with LV USA to find out if their catalog listed dB-S/A insert is a standard size item that can fit the OEM Husky pipe as well.
I need to have an S/A as well as a good dB level for AMA Enduro/XC races out here, and want to eventually get the FMF full system when I can, but need to be compliant now. (all this is for CH info)

Hey Robert, I got the s/a from the TE(8000H6855), fits right in the stock can on my '12 TXC. It got a little louder but still passes our sound checks here. Oh and it only lists for $28.75.......... Not sure if '13s are the same......
