• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Apparently the big Ego that I have been feeding Adrenalin to has made Logan's head swell... I need a new "Cool" Helmet for Logan. He is Six but can almost fit an adult XS or small.... depending upon brand...

What would you all reccomend?... going out Helmet shopping tommorrow... Preferably costing less than $150.00 ... witht he way he is growing... I'll be looking at another one next year...

Do they make anything with bigger loops /strap for kids to put on easier... ?

HJC is hard to beat price wise & usually pretty available at most dealerships here in the South. Santa brought my son the whole Thor enchilada (pants, jersey, helmet & gloves), but I bought via the internet. G/L to you & Logan.

I would and may still go the catolog/online route.. however, with his big head we need to go try on some different brands to find out the size....

I have a hook up at Chapparal in San Bernardino and we are going for the full behind closed doors tour tommorrow a.m.

I just recieved a left over Bell Moto 7 for 57.99(hot pink and flat black checkers) from an online sorce from the wonderful state of Utah. This is my first Bell product and the helmet fits nice and snug and gives my huge nose enough room to not rub all day long. I feel I'm lucky I wear a medium due to the older left over helmets that are available. Small head and big nose, go ahead with the visual....

I purchase quality helmets fairly often, usually every 2 years. My last Black Arai XD is hammered after only 2 seasons. The left top vent is scattered somewhere in the forest and there is a broken twig holding the right vent permanently open. I dont crash very often, but tipping over at a slow pace and giggleing is not crashing, either way I'm going to try a different approach for a little while. My boy thinks it looks rad too.

Thanks everybody! After checking out all of the options presented and spending a few hours at Chapparal and at Malcolm Smith we ended up going with a new 2011 Shift Revolt in Blue and Red Flames Size Kids Large. Logan picked this one because it had the best overall fit for his head and was comfortable to go on and off and to wear... I tried on a lot of helmets to and agree that Shift Helmets are very nice Fitting...

Has it in his room tonight with him...

Thanks to my bud at Chapparal for an incredible price.....

Going to break it in out at Gilman Springs on Saturday A.M.
