    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Need help with 1970-1974 250 rear wheel spoke lacing

Does anybody have a guide to lacing up the rear sprocket side rim? (already have the small side figured out)

If there is no guide i really could use detailed pictures of the rim and spokes including the locations of the valve stem hole and the Akront stamped logo.
My pc crashed containing all my reference pictures and i been trying for a week to guess my way and i just cant take it anymore

any help will be greatly appreciated.
 
Having just laced up a couple more Rims this week ( not a Husky) Your post caught my interest. Picture of the location of the Valve Stem ? In relation to what ? Some bikes the Rim can only go one way ( like a Husky ) and You need to know which side faces the Brake side. As You are mentioning Akront then I assume that You are installing the rim that came off. Well if you didn't mark it when You took it off then You have a 50 50 chance of getting it right the first time.
Your Husky probably has 3 different spokes, both in length and the angle the spoke is bent. Use all the clues You have. Look at the Hub where the Spokes come out and You should see an indentation from the old Spokes telling You which way they were pointed from the factory. Probably on every other hole. These holes were the inside spokes. Look at the two different short spokes in your kit, and they should be a bit different on the ends. One will probably be a bit longer than the other between the bend and the head, or maybe just a bit more angle. This will probably be the outside spoke, or the one that crosses over the inside spoke. Now install a inside spoke and line it up with the indentation and then take an outside one and install it in the next hole and lay it over the first. Does it look right ? if not switch the two spokes and it should get better or worse.
You can go to U-tube and get a dozen different videos on the right way to lace up a wheel. Only problem is they are all different, none of them follow the same method. I find that it works best for me to install all the spokes in the hub. I then look at the indentations to tell me which way the insiders go, and lay all the spokes in side and out in that direction. Then start sticking the insiders in the holes that are pointed the right direction and screwing the nipples one a couple of turns. For each one I do I take the outside spoke near it and lay it 90 degs to the hub and just lay it on top of the rim so it doesn't fall in a get tangled up. Once done with the insiders twist the hub so that they get snug. Then its easy to go around and install the outsiders. Flip every thing over and do the other side.
