  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Need help 2011 TXC511 is it legal to register in NJ??

Hi all,
Does anyone know if the 2011-12 TXC511 can be registered in New Jersey. My issue is that one dealer that has an 11 leftover says it may be able to be registered but there not 100% sure nor will they guarantee it. Another dealer says its not a problem but they only have 2012's and they are around 2g more. Anyone out there go through this yet..
Thanks

Have you tried Bob at Central Jersey Cycles (609-758-1887)...or was he one of the dealers you spoke with?

Bob should be able to help you...but attached is the list from NJ MVC listing all bike models eligible for a title in this state. SM, TE, WR (believe that) are eligible, TC is not, TXC is not addressed. Again, if anyone would know, it would be Bob at Central Jersey

Thanks for the info and yes already spoke to one of the guys at central jersey cycle and was told he just gets it done for his customers no real answers. Ended up getting a new 2011 txc511 from a dealer close to me that is letting me take the paperwork and try to reg it before I complete the purchase. If DMV won't title it the dealer will just take the paperwork back... Really nice ppl to deal with to say the least...
