  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Need head orings

Gonna pull wr300 down very soon(piston around 120 hour now) & I need some head orings for rebuild. I have plenty of other gaskets required so don't wanna buy a full gasket kit if I don't have to. They're a bloody rip off to buy individually down here(better to buy full gasket set!) so thought someone in EU or US might know a supplier or dealer who has them cheap & would post? I'd probably grab 2 sets & also 2 sets for wr125 if it helps? Cheers

Ps I have emailed BMP so will see what they say. Halls don't post oem down here anymore from memory

Still fricken expensive for a bloody oring! What do both orings for a 125 or 300 cost you blokes in yanksylvania?

Thanks lads. Motosport prices were ok around the $6-$10US mark each. I just have a truckload of other gskets already from buying kits seems a waste. If bill's can't help would someone care to buy them for me & post over & I'll just drop $ in their PayPal?

G'day Shawry, your probably well past this point for that top end job, but for future, just go to "Statewide Bearings" or probably any similar quality source. Take the old ones in for comparison. From memory I think he said they were standard size Nitrile O-rings.
I have done numerous rides running with both the standard and High Comp head with out any issues using those rings.
Price is WAY better than M/C spare part sourced.

Cheers MD

I did go to statewide bearings(I think it was if not one of the big bearing mobs down here in bunno) & they didn't wanna know about it! I'm right for a while now as NCSteve sorted me out like a bloody champion!
