• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

We at P3/Pirie Performance Products are coming along with The Motorcyle Factory. Bringing some Carbon goodness for everybody and MFI will have some Bikes on display and for potential purchase.

Looks like I'm picking up an 2009 WR250 left over from MFI and will be breaking it in at the event. Can't wait, looks like great weather too.

Sounds good Eric. I'm looking foward to see your crew!

OK. Update follows. Lots of bling for the raffle. Husky and vintage!More sponsors this yer than ever.
We have stuff from gift certificates to bike bling and protection to petroleum products to gear and shirts to helmets to tools to mugs and cups to tires to all kinds of other accessories.
This year we will also have some awards (plaques) for some events like vintage bike show, grass track, acceleration/braking and special test time trials for Novice, Amatuer, and Expert, Furthest traveled, oldest rider, sharp dressed man (gear), and the best sportsman.
As usual, a complimentary T shirt for all attendees. Also did an event sticker too. Sounds like alot will attend from the chatter I am getting in addition to CH. If you are still on the fence, this is one year to not miss. The weather looks to be perfect. Had som sprinkles yesterday and today but then clear all the way into next week. Track and trail conditions should be optimal. Gets to about 50 at night up here so you Southern Belles and Gentlemen should bring something besides shors and T shirts for he evening.
Remember this is a fun event but as every year, it is a charity affair. Thank goodness there is no one injured or ill this year so we had the ability to have a rider with a cause as the beneficiary. Wally Palmer will be riding in his 5th ISDE this fall in Mexico and so far the only US rider on a Husky. He will be at the event. He is racing in the pro class in the Enduro Cross in Indy on Friday night and driving all night to make the event on the weekend. Please make him feel at home at the event. He is a fine athlete and an outstanding young person too.
For those not attending and would like to help the cause see below:

Ok for now. I will be heading up thursday afternoon to finalize the site. Arrowed to the site but not from I-81. (too far out)
Joe
