  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Got a good deal on mine in December. Went for 1st real ride this weekend. Ran good and only had trouble starting once after a hard stall. Make sure you got the factory Carb updates. Still getting use to the height and the narrow transmission spread. 6 speed would be on my wish list but that's not going to happen. I keep looking for a kickstands and will buy as soon a solution is found. Will use for woods only. Big change (for the good) from my KLX.

I like the close ratio, never in-between gears. Does run out on fire roads, but I just cruise them to get to the next gnarly bit. I miss having a kick stand also, have thought about welding a tab on the frame like my wr125 and using oem.

I'm a motocrosser but i do i little bit of riding in the bush. i ran it in last night didnt have any poplems starting it. The bike shop changed the jetting as Australia needs different jets to stock! Ran great fit neutral a few times but am still getting use to the gear box. I would love to have a te250 gear box as its 6 speed. ordered 300 bucks worth of part a few nights ago will put up some pics when i get them all :).. keep an eye out on my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/MOTOMODZ123/videos will be doing a little build projet..

Cheers Trent

I also have a 10 TC250. Order a JDjetting kit!! Helped with starting. Also an aftermarket exhaust really wakes up bike. I wouldn't recommend Akrapovich but works good with bike. LtRacing did my suspension and its awesome!! I put a Rekluse on mine and it takes away the fear of stalling during a race. You will love it!!

Thanks bud. The jetting was change when i got the bike by the bike shop to fix the starting problem! Im buying a pro circuit T4R in a few months for it!

Hi Trent congrats on an excellent purchase we loved that model we have got 2 now and will sell some of our others to get a third .
Just a few tips, cut the carby vent tubes that hang out below engine a bit shorter as they will pull off, new oil after 3 -5 hours depending on use,it only takes a small amount, check tension of all bolts inc sprocket and spokes (locktite is good), pull wheels and rear suspension out and regrease with plenty of waterproof grease (they hardly have much from new )
Dont believe the B S about lack of power they have heaps and it is very usable and they handle the best ive every ridden/ raced and thats coming from me who went from a KTM 520 neverthought i would go back to a 250 4 stroke UNTIL I RODE ONE !!!

cheers Macca in Tas
