  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New to forum and at 50 years of age I have just bought my first Husqvarna. A WR 125 2013 and I have also bought a 144 kit.
Spent the morning fitting a MX front plate and rear guard and a graphics kit, removed all unnecessary gear for now. I will get registration on it next year sometime.Courtny wedding 037.JPGCourtny wedding 038.JPGCourtny wedding 042.JPGCourtny wedding 043.JPG
What a great little bike. I was a bit worried as I have been racing MX for a long time, but always on a bigger bike. I am only 72kg so I thought a 125 might be fun. I was chuckling the whole session. I think I will leave it a 125 for a while. Learn to ride it properly then fit the 144 kit. I love the sound of the 165 kit but not sure if it is available in Australia. Does any body know if it is?

Congrates on the purchase, sticker kit looks great.
165 kits avaialble from overseas, think you just send your cylinder to them and they send it back read for fun.

How much was the 144 kit if you don't mind me asking? I have a 150xc but seriously thinking of getting a 125 for the rego.

nice bike mate, how good are r&d husky btw!!!
as watky said, we can get the 165's here in Aus. Mine's on its way and a few others already run it.
yewwww.

sticker kit looks grouse mate. curious as to why you didnt go the cr125 for the better ignition(?) & forks? just for rego or the bigger tank/18" wheel too.? i just cut my wr125 silencer down 100mm to match the cr, looks better, didnt notice any sound level difference really & easy to do. wish i had the black rims the 14 crs do! mmmmm black rims.

Most of these came with a 144 from Husky free. Going forward they don't offer a free kit for the new white ones. The kit was around 900.$ US

Need the WR for rego purposes. But I still love to ride MX. Will get rego next year.
What company do you get the 165 kit from? Website? Thanks..
Would of loved the CR. Cheaper to buy but no ADR compliance. I think they only came with the 144 kit free in the USA.

no free 144 kit in OZ! importer probably kept em to sell & make more $ out of the already gettin-bent-over-a-barrel OZ dirtbike buying public!

I was chuckling the whole session.

That is funny. When I bought my KTM 125SX at the age of 50, it was my first small bore and was a bit of an experiment. Wasn't sure what to expect. First ride I was actually laughing out loud in my helmet. Couldn't wipe the grin off my face. Just bought an '06 WR125, liking it even more then the KTM. -Ed

grouse is a type of bird. gross i think you ment shawbagga.

looks mean. cr ignition cant support lights or be regesterd in most countrys.
an a 125 on the pipe is an awesome buzz that most forget as you upgrade to larger cc to keep up with mates.

Got my numbers today and will fit them tomorrow. Going to take bike to a MX track on the weekend. Will post a picture with numbers fitted.

Thanks Motosportz, what is involved in kit? Do I need to send power valve, cylinder and head? What is kit worth and what do I get?
Thanks
