• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

My Daughter Riley needs your help and Input for Anahiem Supercross on Sat Feb 5th

One of the good things about living in Corona,California is that Troy Lee Designs is here in town.

Troy Lee is having his Supercross Team come to my Daughter Riley's Elementary School on Friday Feb 4th and is hosting a School Assembly for 4th , 5th and 6th Graders

Troy Lee's purpose for this is to emphasize the importance of Academics in School as well as Safety in MX!

Troy Lee has asked the three grades to voluntarily submit drawings/Artwork for a contest in which their will be three winners. The SX team will judge the Artwork based on a theme of : Motocross is?

Artwork to be on a 12" x 18" poster paper.

Winners recieve tickets to the AMA SX the next day for their entire Family and will also recieve backstage passes. The School assembly will also be filmed by /for CBS for a video segment that will be played during the San Diego SX!

So how about some ideas for: Motocross is ? and what might be a good subject to draw representing this?

My daughter Riley is very excited and would welcome your input!

That's a tough one. Needs the input from a young one, that comes from the heart. One that loves motorcycles as much as we do.

Ok The drawing has to have a rider in all the safety gear, the bike would would be doing a tripple jump, and most important, the riding gear as well as the bike shrowds
have to have the troy lee logo all over the bike and gear, should be a shoe in.....Mike
 
mx is: the ultimate reward.

After reviewing your thoughts guys she loves your ideas and is working on a few of her own as well. She is trying to incorporate all of the various ideas... if anyone else wants to comment she is still all ears for your input!!!

Lots of troy lee stuff in the pix, riding gear, helmet, back ground banners, A fan in the stands holding a sign, that says go troy lee.
and when troy lee shows up at class, your daughter could be wearing a troy lee jersey.....we'll get her to win

The decided upon theme is :

Motocross is: A Girl's Ultimate Reward

Featured rider as decided upon by my daughter is Ashley Fiolek wearing all Troy Lee Gear and she is riding face on over a set of SX whoops...! Will post a pic when she is done!!!

Ok Riley has made her Poster. It was submitted to the Principal's Office this morning!! She decided to Bedazzle it and glam it up a bit...
