• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My clutch cable snapped, should i get OEM or other brand cable?

Husqvarna
A Class
Bike is 2009 Husky TE610, has 5,700 miles and snapped as i was pulling out of my dive way.

I was reading on this forum and others that OEM is more expensive and will snap again, but other branded clutch cables don't fit quite right? is this true?

What are you guys running?

Just bought the motion pro. I didnt feel like spending 50 bucks for the barnett cable... if there are others let me know.

Barnett makes a really good clutch cable for that bike. My OEM cable broke at 5,000 miles, the Barnett replacement has 20,000 on it so far.

motion pro clutch cable 10-0123 has standart lenght or it is longer when OEM. Will it be good with bar risers (1 1/2") or longer clutch cable has another part number.
Thanks.

I bought the motion pro cable that you listed and it was the same size as the stock oem cable...i dont think it would fit if you had risers.

I break the bullet off of the lever end of two clutch cables a year, no matter whose or how much or how little I clean and lube it.

Just got the Barnett clutch cable from Halls Cycle for $38. Ordered the motion pro and running that as backup. Both cables seem much better than OEM.
