• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

At Cahuilla Creek MX track
This really is a must do event for SoCal folks, its for a great cause and is just industry heavy with moto folks. It's a great vendor show and fun event to participate in. The tracks are open to ride practically all day as well. Highly recommended.

From Laurie C the organizer,
"MX Ride for the Cause will be hosting KTM Demo Day at the event this year! October 1st at Cahuilla Creek Motocross.
KTM will be bringing their semi out with their new bikes for over 18 years of age riders who would like to take a spin on the track.
They will be having their full set up and support along with offering discounts on new bikes, giveaways and some cool raffle items!

More details to come but yeah I am so excited and you all should be too! = )"

I know this is Cafe Husky, but any new bike testing is fun!!!

SoCal riders don't forget this event, it's this weekend 1OCT11. It's a great cause and turns into a great Moto scene with lots of pros showing speed and usually even Metzger's MOB crew doing freestyle hits, along with us more pedestrian MX riders having a blast on the track and in vendors row. Its a great event, hope to see some Cafe H participation. R

You know that I'll be there.

Here's our very own Robertaccio and friends from last year, showing their support.
