• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Motosportz Trail Rack now available.

Great

Will order one today.

Any, crazy chance it might ship a bit sooner? I'm trying to get a rack installed for a trip leaving next thursday night, so I might need it on wed.

shipping to sacramento.

I understand it is not quite ready and that you are moving....I'll go ahead and order one up and take my chances.

Cheers

We will try and probably can ship it tomorrow if pushed :D

Can the rack still be mounted when utilizing the rest of the rear sub-frame bracketry that comes stock on the TE models?

Also, how much does the entire rack and fasteners weigh?

Lastly, do you offer expedited shipping such as two day air?

Please address purchase related questions via Email to Motosportz. We have modified the fitment information on the web site.

Thank you.

Kelly

Ok, Anybody out there fit this rack on a TE? Just got mine, can't figure it out. I was psyched that I had it 2 days before a long ride. Maybe not afterall.

Looks like the bracket goes underneath the rear fender. Will the tire hit it if it bottoms?

No issues on the TXC450 or TE/SM 610. Also have it mounted on a TE450 and WR250. All seem fine / no issues.

I bought some smaller turn signals for the 610 and mounted them on the fender. Works out very cool and nearly no way to smash them as they are nice and tucked in. I'll post some pix soon. Side benefit is they are VERY bright which will get noticed.

I B dum.

Now I see how the mounting works, sort of extends the subframe. Nicely done.

OK, I like it but...I have Baja D fender and OEM rack. I don't think that there is a way to fit this rack on my bike.

Yeah - What he said... I cheked the website but didn't find the 411.

How much she weighing in at - 16lbs or so? :ride:

I'll have to double check with the fasteners but right at 3 pounds. It aluminum and as light as we could make it while still being strong. It has proved it's strength a few times on my bike.

You carve that thing out of a solid chunk/billet of aluminum? As opposed to stamping it in a machine?

Billet is very strong, even I have a hard time breaking billet stuff.

Completely machined from billet and then bolted together. Surprisingly strong. that said we did build it lite weight as the sub frame is the limiting factor here.

Other than the fact that I am typing this.....speechless. I got home today from work, and my wife was insistant that I open a birthday present early (10 days early....she is odd). You guessed it based on the thread...red rack with black hardware. :notworthy: It's beautiful, and it is the first farkle (love that word) that the Husky has received. My hats off to Motorsportz...Tob notch work. :applause: Pic's to come! Quick question....will it bolt direct to my future TE310? I am betting yes. I am posting pics on ADV and supermotojunkie.

Your wife ROCKS. thanks for the kind words. It should mount right up to the TE310 but some finagling with the inner fender and blinkers might be in order. Enjoy.

thanks,
Kelly

Okay...it will be a couple days to get things posted. Not a direct bolt in with the stock tail light assembly and frame work. :excuseme:
