• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Motosportz rack on the 610

Got one of our racks mounted up to my 610. Went on really nice and has been very useful already. You should know you do need to relocate the turn signals. I'm replacing mine with the small ones. Thanks.

- You may have notice I swapped out the yellow / blue. Now it is a mixed up mess of red white and blue. Looks like an ATK :D

Nice rack as it moves a little to the back. The stock one with a tail bag hits me in the butt in technical terrain. :D So why not keep the OEM turn signal location?

So Kelly is it?
You’re rack is magnificent, a feast to the eye…
But my concern, as I have mention to you before on TT is that the target sight (crown if you will…) is facing the ole derrière and might be a bit hazardous in a case of a wheelie gone wrong…
It looks like if you simply flip it backwards it’ll push the whole thing too far forward because of the location of the screws
Have you thought about flipping it (with the proper distance of Corse…)?
Dose this make any sense to you?
Have you already tested it and found this concern to be unfounded?

Ones again seriously nice rack, love those shark fins supports.
+1 on you’re bike’s patriotic theme;)

Unfounded. It sits VERY low and no sharp edges. I have hundreds of miles on this rack now on several of bikes, no way to impale yourself.

Safety, job number one

well that eases my mind :)
Thank you Kelly
The only reason I’ve asked is because I didn’t remember if you addressed it on the TT thread
I’m glad you took notice to the safety of our back side :D
Very nice rack
Will you make a gray/black version for us road crowd?

One thing I've done a few times now with my Husky OEM rack is catch my jean's leg on it when getting off the bike. No big deal, but can be awkward and annoying when it happens. The PMB rack wouldn't have that issue I'd guess. Your's looks like it would also eliminate that little annoyance.

What i hated about the stock husky one the most was that the little holes made it near impossible to bungee anything on it. It was too small and to far forward as well. This one works WAY better than the stock 610 rack i had on there IMHO.

motosportz rack on a te510

I just used the rack on a 900 mile 4 day dual sport trip, with only a few rough sections. The rack does sit very low and far back I don't see how it could get in the way. Of course, my ride was not too technical, so this is not the ultimate test.

I have the black one and am very happy with it. I chose black as it is a bit less "blingy", which more fits my style. Red does look sharp in the photos.

Not the best photos, but these show it in action.

I did tighten the screws after the first day. I'd maybe recommend a small dab of blue loctite on the screws.

....nice rack....

would for sure buy it again.

Thanks Kelly!

Cheers
