• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

We are technically here today and tomorrow (4/16-4/17) but prepping for a Moab trip. Will be out of the office 4/18/ - 4/23 at Moab. Will take laptop but limited as to what we can get done. I should mention that I am still around and kelly will still foward orders to me for shipping, he just will not be answering much of his email or doing stuff on his end. If you have questions you can send me a PM if you like. Motosportz Mike.

Awesome, glad your still shipping for Kelly. Walt shipped my 165 kit last week to Kelly, was hoping to get it this week.
PM me if you need me to come up to the Couve to pick it up. Tough to wait another week to get my bike together. Thanks again for all your guys efforts. Richard.

No one is making it your problem, Walt shipped it, tracking says it is here, it is not. I am headed to the PO again right now.

I apologize for your delay. I understand your frustration and wish I could have turned it around faster. I am at the mercy of my borer/re-liner, who I really like and am not really willing to change. Their standard 1 week turn around got ballooned to 4 weeks when they got slammed with work. That is the real issue and I should have kept you up to date on that more often. I appreciate your desire to use all your own parts and I completely understand the logic but the hold up at Powerseal turned a normal 3 week ship out to ship back time frame into 7 weeks. Once Powerseal got to my stuff they shipped me 10 top ends over the space of one week. Thus Kelly getting inundated with top ends from me. The Richard that he sent the top end out on Tuesday to actually was a kit that shipped from me several days after yours. This is all a lesson learned for me on better communication and choice of shippers. I will obviously think twice about using the USPS in the future as they had your top end for a week and were clueless as to where it was.

At least your parts are found and will be in your hands in the very near future. I will make it square with you over the course of your ownership of the 165 with any help I can extend.
