• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Motosportz and Lectron

Hey everybody just wanted to write about my experience with Motosportz. I have a 2013 CR 144 Husky and I was very hesitant about getting the Lectron. I kept emailing and bothering Kelly about the carb and I always got a prompt reply to every email. Kelly kept telling me bike would be a lot easier to ride and I was getting a little tired of messing with jets trying to get bottom and mid range to suit me. I finally purchased the Lectron. I am telling everybody on Café Husky Kelly has these carbs figured out and you will not believe the difference. Bike feels better everywhere from bottom to top and is just a lot easier to ride. People are not exaggerating this carb. Kelly had the carb to me in S.C. very quick. Anyways just felt like he cared the whole time he was emailing me we probably had 10-15 emails. Just a great person and business to deal with and I wanted everybody to know.

Thanks for the kind words. Glad you like the carb. Wait til you see the increase in MPG. Good stuff.

Is it normal to have to lean out the idle throu out the day to keep the idle where it needs to be?

I have seen the slide itself wear from trying to increase the idle during the ride often. If you are going to do this you need to hold the throttle open, adjust the idle, and then restart and check. If you are frequently adjusting the idle it will actually cut a groove in the slide and make adjustment difficult and the slide once grooved just continues to wear and come out of adjustment. I think this is an extreme case but you might be having this problem.

no set your idle when its hot and keep the choke on untill the pipe starts scavenging, should be sorted from then on.
the carb is awesome and yes had brought the top end to my 360.
