  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Motorsportz Husky parts, wow!

Husqvarna
A Class
Just placed my first order with Motorsportz for some Husky parts and had to share my experience.

Ordered an aluminum skid plate, 1 1/8" bar risers and some hand tools for my 2012 TE310 yesterday afternoon.

Getting ready for the Odessa ride next month and wanted to make sure my bike is set up the way I want. Figure parts will be here in a week or two, no big deal. Got almost month till race day.

So, ride into work today around 8AM and whats sitting at my desk?
Box from Motorsportz. Huh? Couldn't be. I just placed the order 16 hours ago???

Man, did Mike ride down to Seattle last night; ninja rappel down through the skylight and drop this stuff off on my desk or what?

Couldn't be happier with the quality of the parts, price and superman fast ship.
Even included installation instructions! Just had to say I'm impressed.

In this day and age I've come to expect some level of dissapointment with online shopping. The Amazons,Walmarts and big box moto stores that drop ship stuff from all over world never cease to fail. Be it quality, fitment, long ship time, completely the wrong part or simple lack or communication. Too often I have to follow up with my order and send parts back to get what I ordered.

I have to say it's refreshing to deal with a local vendor that stocks thier own high quality Husky specific parts and treats customers as individuals.

Thanks again Motosportz, I'll be back.

Don't think you're "special" - I received that same treatment all the way over here on the east coast - time and time again in the last 5 years. I even had a replacement mid-pipe guard that cracked sent to me - no questions asked - no return of the defective part needed....the new one just showed up at my door. A++ service from the whole Motosportz team.

kel and mike even put up with me and my ilttle uh - "emergencies"...and handle it in stride. more than a couple epics have been saved by the boys behind the curtain at the Husqvarna Super Store!
