• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Moto Forza

I bought my TE from them in March of 2007. They were attentive and tried to answer all my questions, let me thumb through the owners manual and made every effort to have the bike set up for my needs (jetting, fix silly kickstand, etc.) before it rolled out the door. Ordered my fork springs and rear shock spring through them.

Nothing really in stock as far as clothes and aftermarket unless you are a street rider (on a Ducati). Fair prices on OEM stuff and the parts guy is very helpful.

Haven't dealt much with the service dept. I had a little work done on the machine when my starter got stuck in the "on" position. The bike went in on a Saturday and was ready to pick up on Thursday morning, so good turnaround there. I talked to the service guy once a long time ago with questions about my forks, but he wanted to schedule me for an appointment to work on them rather than discuss them. Parts guy (Chris) answered my questions. Overall, I like them and I would definitely buy another bike from them, but wish that they would carry more Husky/dirt accessories.

Good folks up there at Moto Forza, have dealt with them from the road racing side of things. They are enthusiasts and Europhile moto heads, and the "boss" is a Swiss named Balz (Renggli), anyone with that name has to be good. They are the "sister" affiliated shop of GP Motorcycles San Diego. R

Moving from Dealer Kudos to General...

Kudos: "credit or praise for an achievement"

If you have Kudos/positive input about a dealer that you have personally had good luck with start up a thread in the proper subforum. If you disagree with the positive input, or have non-positive input about a dealer that currently has a thread, please be as articulate and polite as possible. Remember - what you type will reviewed by people around the world, including the dealer you are commenting on, be polite.

For general discussions about dealers please use the General (Main) forum.

They seemed to be the only place outside of Italy that stocked an intake boot for my bike. They charged slightly more than anyone else quoting me (but hey you can quote whatever you want for a part that's not in stock eh?) and got it right out to me.

My 2 cents.

Slightly off topic but....

R.,

Is that one of those names for a Swiss citizen that is near the southern border near the folks that speak your namesake's language? We drove down through that area from Germany to Italy and were surprised at the hiway signs being Italian yet we were still well in Switzerland. Interesting bit of geography and demographics.

Apologies for the slight detour from OP's topic, thread brought back a good memory!
