  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Well since any self respecting husqvarna guy should stop in and check this thing out I did. Their shop is epic. Half pipe, big bar, sick shop, surfboard shop that makes boards, oh on tuesdays they have "taco tattoo Tuesday's" yes buy a taco and get a free tat! So I chatted up with the bike builder head mech. He was even asking my advise on a current project. Haha so he invited us to go ride Sunday.... Uh ok I'm in. This little 250 is gonna get a good slutting!!

I spend a lot of time in Canggu and know those guys well. Hate what they did to the TE but some of their creations are pretty cool... Hope you get some good surf while you're there. If it's a bit small in Canggu you can drive west to Balian (2 hrs.0 and it'll probably be double the size)
 
Believe it or not I don't surf. I paddle board. I'm having and awesome holiday. They have some really cool bikes here. I have seen a few TE's and several SMS 125's. Boy would I like one of those back home. The bikes here seem super small. I got a klx150 and wow I miss my smr530 lol. I fit right in though. Its def what seems to be controlled madness. Haha
 
I deal with it every day (been here 14 yrs). I made friends with the cops in town so I can ride my unplated TE anywhere with no hassles. Enjoy your time there. If you get a chance (and aren't a vegetarian) ck out Naughty Nuri's in Kerobokan for some kickin' pork chops or babybacks and Mojo's Flying burritos for some mexican food and cheapest Corona's in Indonesia.
 
Not personally. He Shapes PSH boards. I'm a fan of Starboard. And I'm not even close to being in the same league as Blane. Haha I try not to tell anyone that I paddle board. As we are hated by all. Always a few fuck it up for everyone. So I mind my own and try to go where nobody is around or breaks only accessible by a long long paddle
