Uh, yeeayaah, that was my point. The kid couldn't make it the traditional way of going through Lorettas like everyone else. He was plucked from the B class and I'm sure his looks appealed to the sponsors. Plain and simple, he's the only Pro mx/sx to take the American Idol route to success.

I've seen him put a few sick passes down. Just because he doesn't take someone out, doesn't mean it's not a good pass. And him waiting for someone in front of him to wreck out is a smart move IMO. He is a smart racer, not a crazy, throw it all on the line type. Apparently his riding style is paying off!

Ok, Jake proved RD has at least one sick pass. Good for him. What I remember recently is RD being stuck behind Alessi at Washougal. I'm sure Jake was there and can testify he couldn't get around Alessi. While Alessi is a good rider, he's not in the class of RV, CR, RD. Point being, he should have gotten around Alessi easily. You don't see that happening to RV, CR and you damn sure won't see it happening to BamBam! No, not saying RD should take out people like BamBam but he certainly shouldn't get stuck behind Alessi, ever. And especially not for an entire moto.

RD is too corporate for my taste. You guys can have him. I'll take someone with more dog in him and someone that has earned it a whole lot more than RD....which is pretty much everyone.

I like Dungey...his Amateur Career

Unlike many factory riders of today, Ryan grew up racing District 23 races in Minnesota, where cold weather and snow nearly prevent riding completely during the winter months. He raced for Cities Edge Suzuki for the later part of his amateur career while racing locally and working his way through the amateur nationals. Success didn’t come quickly or easily for him until he jumped off the minis and onto the bigger bikes. Ryan seemed to hit his stride and won several amateur titles at the Lake Whitney, World Mini, Oak Hill and Winter Olympic races. Ryan finally won the prestigious Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Championship in 2005. In the spring of 2006 he was again planning to compete for the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Championship when a surprise signing with Suzuki changed

I did happen to catch some of that, one of my favorite motos of the season. I have not had my camera out since then, been slacking, I mean riding.

Your completely entitled to your own opinion obviously, but what you state is not factual. You are stating opinions based on your dislike for him, and that doesn't buy you shit in my book. (which is my opinion, and I'm sure you could care less about)

#800 is not in the same class with RD5 at least when he was on the SUZ ... Notice the color of bike RD5 is riding in the pics and it ain't yellow ... That 450 pumkin sucked last year. Its the case of great rider riding a inferior bike for all its worth ...

I hadn't heard much about the orange 450 other than what Charlie Mullins did to destroy it race after race. I didn't put much stock in that since Mullins is known to be hard on bikes and since it was a track bike being raced off road. Anyway, I heard far more about the YZ450F being a turd bike (and I ride Yamaha) and I can attest, it is surprisingly heavy.

This season will be awesome for sure. Like Jake, I really do like just about every rider. And I don't hate Dungey, I just don't think he's all that some think he is. RV is my guy more than anyone but I can't wait to see how BamBam fits in. I'm also not sure at all how CR will come back. His injury was pretty bad both physically and psychologically, plus he's no spring chicken. I wouldn't be surprised if CR off the leaders pace this season.

i see cr getting to be like windham, theyll ride and be fan favorites till they retire. giving the older crowd someone to cheer for at the races and occasionally snagging a victory or podium place.

Dungy has nothing to prove, he already did. He does not have a hang it all out there style he rides hard within his means and win through calculated effort, training and thinking things through. He does not toss it out there and hope for the best. Like it or not it works and his demeanor and style shout professionalism to me. Not a bunch of trash talking, crash himself out trying to prove something. Standing on the podium does the talking. Thats what i was trying to say about professionalism. I don't love or hate any of these guys as i don't know any of them personally. I love RV and JS style hang it out style. Its all just racing, no time to hate on anyone, appreciate them all for how hard they worked to get there. Alessi whom i have never been a fan of mainly because of his loud mouthed dad is freaking moving and staying on two wheels. Seems like a very stacked 450 class this year and for that we are the winners. Should be real good racing.

Sorry, but I will respectively disagree with everything you just said.

Someone right in front a few posts chronicled his racing at Loretta's and his general "working his way up struggle". No one gets a spot in MX or SX cause they're pretty.

I'm just looking at the results of RD5 riding the pumkin as compared to the suz ... He just did not show the same speed or competitiveness on that orange bike ... How many times did he crash last season? He almost never crashed on the SUZ ... That bike sucks currently and the rider is keeping it at the front ... Same thing would result it you put a top rider on a Husky ...

Its an RV2 world and he'll dominate unless he crashes ... CR is currently riding sx down under so he will come in hot ...but it will not matter ... RV2 owns him after that last race in MX where he was following and riding RV2 lines till he crashed ... he won't try that again I bet ... He'll be like the rest, a scavenger picking up what crumbs RV2 leaves ...
