• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Rumours have been flying back and forth for weeks. Mika left Husky on very good terms after the 2005 season, so we'll see.

the beast from the north east!! has ridden and won on a bunch of different brands, it will be very good to see Mika on a Husky again.

You know I heard that Mika was already signed with Honda but then this rumor comes out again. I for one would like to see him on a Husky again.

I'VE BEEN DOING IT ALL WRONG! So you test the bars before you put them on the bike... Padded shorts, jersey, hiking boots and hat optional - do you need to make motor noises?

(Sorry - I couldn't resist.)

Meo in E 1, Juha in E2 and Mikka in E3......dammn!
Looks like for 2011 we will be time travel back to the Husky glory years of 2002 in the WEC!
Hope they keep Seb (E3) and Bart(Anywhere but put him on a 125 for sales), Siestola (E1), Hollis (E1) and re hire Bourgois (E1 and flying after his injury)

Maybe if to many for WEC Team...some can come do to states for GNCC or Nat Enduro. Even Trade for sending Casselli to do WEC in 2011.

Sounds like great EU team ... I'd like to see Meo race more on video at least ... He looks scary fast what few times I have saw him ...

MotoSprint 39 , 28sep-4oct

Jolly Racing/ HM-Zanardo Honda, will have Rodrig Thain (E?) and has resigned Mika Ahola to be in E3 for 2011

No Mika on Husky

Some say Mikka was a "late bloomer" to winning WC's. I say it was not so much that as there were sooo many great guys to have to beat BITD. Not to say they are slouches today...far from it but so many more to compete with as little as 10 years back for a WC. Kinda like what our MX scene has had for many years in super cross and 450s. Lots of runners but only 2 to 3 or less who have a shot at the beginning of the year.

He did fly on the VOR for sure though...much better than when on the husky in 04 and 05. I think he just could not get in the groove on the new at the time Husky 4 banger compared to the VOR. Although he debuted in the WEC back in the early 90's on Husky, He does like the non traditional and maybe we get him back. Am wondering how VOR afforded him?
