• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Mandi Mastin ridin' orange ...

I have NEVER blew up a Husky be it a 4 stroke or a 2 stroke. Either have my 2 sons raced many Husky since 2006 no problems Plus never have any of us had a DNF on a Husky

Yeah, cant say any of my husky have ever let me down,my rice burners on the other hand have made quite the cut aways of what you dont want to see happen to your motor.Look cool, but kills the pocketbook!!LOL..

Of course I'm being dramatic when I say "blew up," but the bikes did fail for one reason for another. Hopefully that's all in the rear view mirror.

I have owned /raced /trail ridden only Huskys my whole life ...12+ Huskys (35 plus years...except for my entry into 2 wheel world on mini bikes and at 12, the only jap bike at 14 ..Honda SL 70) ...and only had 2 failures..a Motoplat ignition that crapped out after 5 years on my 86 WR250 and the flyheel weights that came loose on my 96 TE 410. Always used Hi Point oils then Spectro oils (took over Hi Point I believe).I'm sorta a maintenance nut but usely wait to the last minute to replace a worn part...if that makes any sense.
...back to Mandi...I hope her luck turns around, but not on another brand!...sorry but I bleed Husqvarna:cheers: !

Guscycle:banana:

I hope Mandi will take me up on taking a test ride on my WR165. I think she would be pleased with the handling , and tractable power.
