• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

MANCINI DOMINATES ITALIAN RAID TT IN SARDINIA

From 29 May to 1 June, the Cross Country World Championship and three days of the Italian Championship Raid TT were held in Sardinia.

Here, CF Racing Team's Andrea Mancini was competing at world level for the first time on the Husqvarna TE449. The Italian champion equipped himself well and finished four stages in third place, behind off-road legends Marc Coma and Cyril Despres, and only a clutch problem in the second stage prevented him taking the overall podium position of this Rainbow stage.

At the fifth stage, Mancini won the 450cc class race and was also able to win all 3 days of the Raid TT Italian Championship, thus underlining his title ambitions in this class with his new Husqvarna TE449.
Also in the 250 class, Husqvarna finished second and third, and won the women's category with the TE250, thanks to an excellent performance by Erika Burioli.

Very well done

Check out 449 exhaust? Moved to left side yet header still exiting right side. Glad to see them competitive. Our local expert is having a hard time adjusting to the TC449 in MX, seems a better offroader than MXer.

Good eye on that 449 exhaust ...So what is this guy saying about the bike on a MX track?

He jumped off a KX450, he has been practicing for a couple months an the 449 and he feels he cant be competitive on the 449. He cant get used to the turning, he really has to work to lay the thing over. Needs more power. Motor slow to build RPM. He is definitely turning slower lap times than on the KX.
