• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Man down...again Buddy Jake

Well Jake needs our support again. This just sucks as he is one of the nicest guys around and this is two for this year. He still has big bills from the last MX crash mid summer and now he is laid up again. Broke his femur right above the knee and smashed another vertebra. He has surgery today. Got all out of shape on a fast GP track just play riding with friends.

He would NEVER ask this but I will, if anyone wants to toss some money his way I'll find out his paypal or you can send it to me and I'll get it to him. I'm sure he will be deep in bills, already was.

Hoping the best for his recovery. Sad day for sure.

UPDATE - Jakes Paypal is Jmetteer@gmail.com if you feel like helping.

Wow...I'm really sorry to hear this :(

Please give him my best and let him know we're all thinking of him.

Do you have a PayPal account?

Ah man, are you serious!?!?
What is the surgery for... Leg or back?

Get well soon buddy!

yes, unfortunately very serious. Leg today. Those are pins attached to bars to pull the leg and femur in line. Yuck.

Jake is real good peeps. EZ to be his friend. Sucks he has had such a hard year injury wise. He is a great rider but you get bit sometimes.

Hang in there man!! I broke my femur in 5 pieces in 1981 and stll have the 19 screws and metal plate in there,13 months off work and 2 bone grafts later I was walking with a cain again.I hope and pray all heals well and Bens got something for you.If theres anything we can do out here to help let us know !!BILLF

at least his traction device resembles a swingarm. you need to sticker/paint that sucker up. i'm thinking flames.

remember that calcification of bones is just natures way of providing aftermarket parts to an inferior oem chassis. you'll be back on the pegs in no time.

heal fast and heal well.

Dang...

Even though Jake's laid up in the hospital with broken bones and no shave for who-knows-how-long, he still manages to
look pretty damned cute

Hope you're feeling better soon, Jake!! I'd rather see pictures of you riding!
