  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I see someone in classified has one list for a wr300 but I cant find any specifically listed for the wr300 anywhere. Is that a special order item or are they just universal?

It's a special order from Magura. Retail is around $240 I believe. I'll take $175 shipped for mine. It was used twice.

Retail is about 240.00 like racer726 said. On some bikes slight filing is required to make it fit, on others nothing has to be modified. Mike

im really impressed with the whatever brand is on my gasgas, feels much better and lighter than any of the magura's ive had but maybe thats a gasgas thing...

Yeah the hebo is a super light pull. If you talking about your gas gas trials the reason the pull is so light is the clutch is only half if what a regular dirtbike has. 3 frictions and 3 pressure plates.

I got mine directly from magura. It is also the new style with the folding lever. I paid 190.00 plus shipping. They are a pain to setup, but once done they are night and day night and day difference.
Here is the contact info at magura. Peter@magurausa.com

The clutch on my WR150 is so easy and smooth that I wouldn't even consider going Hydraulic with their inherent headaches. I had a fair about of issues over the years with mine on KTMs.

I got mine installed on my 300. Its unreal. My 06 ktm 525's hydraulic clutch wasnt even this smooth and buttery soft. Its definately a pain to install but well worth it.

I had a Hebo on my TM and my 05 KX250, it's definitely a nicer unit than the Magura. Not sure how it compares to Brembo.
A lot of people complain about the heavy clutch pull on the WR250/300's, I'm a little puzzled by it. Mine is very nice and light, not much difference from my 125?
For a cable the 300 clutch pull isnt bad. But i got spoiled on my ktm and i am also one of those who am using the clutch every couple seconds when i ride. So it helps with the arm pump for sure. It just gives the 300 a "complete" feel to me.
