• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi all,

Ok, so maybe this isn't really about racing.....but kind of is.

Got back from Jamaica Friday and took the kid (that's his real name, btw) to Nationals on Saturday - it was pretty rad. It was hotter than hell though (105 degrees).
Regardless of the 450 championship already being decided and the 250 class just about wrapped up it was still a lot of fun to watch. The first 250 moto was SICK!!! Baggett was killing it out in front while Barcia and Tomac were duking it out trying to close the gap.
The Legend's & Hero's booth was awesome as always. Crud, even the KTM's over at the Riverside County Sheriff's Department booth were pretty cool.
I'll post some pics later this evening.....

Ya..I watched it on TV...Elsinore does get hot!! That track needs some trees I think...
Dave, I'm pretty sure Elsinore is Apache for "surface of the sun". I've riden there a few times and each time its sky-rocketed from 80 to over 100 in a matter of minutes. Still, not a bad seat in the house.

My son had a Corona Pony Mustang baseball game that started at 1:00 pm. 102 degrees in Corona... was thinking about those guys riding moto at exactly the same time about 20 miles down the valley....!

Was looking for Bagget to pull out the guns for Moto 2 but he seemed content after what he did in Moto 1

Ya, it gets wicked hot there as well. I'm shocked there isn't more road rage at the 15/91 merge. My kid wore pants to the race!!! It was 91 at our place but 105 in Elsinore...and we just live a few minutes down the 15!

hijack a little , but after seeing those vintage machines. I want to remind all the socal guys that the Marty Tripes Vintage weekend is at the The Ranch in Anza this weekend. (I had planned to go but an epic 2 day group ride is calling for this weekend), so I will miss it. Last year we went to the Marty event and it rocked.

Robert, thanks for the good gouge ("gouge" is a military slang term for info)!!! That place is awesome (but their schedule kind of sucks). Me and the kid were supposed to hit Elsinore but may have to modify the schedule a little.
