  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Looking for FMF Turbine Core for 93 WXC 360

I am looking for a new or used FMF Turbine Core or Turbine Core2 spark arrestor for my '93 WXC 360. I haven't been able to locate one yet in the usual places like ebay.. etc. Do any of you know where I could purchase one?

The spark arrestor would be mounted to the Up-Tite pipe that is presently mounted on the bike along with the stock spark arrestor unit

Thanks in advance!

Just in case anyone is interested, I verified that the silencer/spark arrestor for a '93 250 will work for a '93 360. The FMF is installed and sounds pretty sweet! Lost a couple of pounds in the process to boot..

that's good news and a good tip
took almost a year to find one for mine
and yes they sound sweet
FYI 92-99 are the same at least for the 360

the silencer is, along with stinger diameter...
unless you run a dynoport that has the fatter stinger...then you must run the big core silencer with it.

Now, if I can put a PWK or maybe a Lectron on this baby, this will be one sweet ride! Anyone know where to source a Lectron for the 360 these days?

Well, I have to admit I haven't played with the Mikuni much since I purchased the bike this summer. Maybe I should try that first, but I have to say I'm in love with the Lectron on my KTM300.. The pilot's lean for sure on the 360, making starting really tough. I think I'll plug in a richer pilot and see how she does.. Thanks for the rational thought on the Mikuni 2Premo!

once I set my jetting correct it's been all good, my 99 360 was a disaster and a Lectron update kept me from selling it, trust me it was close
on KTM might throw a Lectron on my 380

How's the choke cable set up working for you? Could you show a better picture of it please.

i dont like the cable setup at all. i wish it had the old school mikuni roundslide lever. i have since eliminated the cable and just use a push pull knob.
