  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Thinking of picking up a 2015 FC450 for a track bike and change of pace from my TE125. If anyone here has any seat time on one I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Also looking at a 2015 FC350 but the like the idea of lugging the big 450 around for a total change of pace.

I bought a 2015 FC450 about a month ago, absolutely love it. Raced the LACR St.Patrick's Day GP with it Sunday and had a blast!!

I rode one from a mate a while ago and it's a weapon! If you're competent and strong go for it, it's a fantastic bike! On the other hand if you still learning and need some gym time the 350 might suit you better.
Engine wise I prefer my FE501 as it has similar grunt but is smoother. I know it's a different bike but just putting it out there.
I'm not that good off road and the FE501 I can master to an extend as it is smooth, the FC450 wants to go and is too much for me!
As always it's best to test ride one before parting with the $$$

My best friend bought a 450 and I the 350 the 450 is a Brute****************************************! I rode it and it was thrilling, he asked if he could ride my 350 so I let him he wishes that he got the 350FC like mine:cheers:

Hey all, looking at trading in my 13 te449 for a 15 tc450. I read above posts and the feed back sounds positive. Any issues with the tc, common problems? Anything I need to be worried about with the tc or weird quirky issues? The te had to be fiddled with to run right how's the tc. Thanks

Watch the wiring harness under the seat by the ignition, some are having issues with the way it's routed and wearing through the wires. Mine wore through and grounded out, it blew the fuse in the airbox.

Thanks for the reply. Just wondering if they are as quirky as my te449/511. Do they need improvements right out of the box or just jump on and go

So, after co-owning this bike with my son its pretty bad ass. 2015 fc450. Did first oil change after 2 hours now running mobil 1 0-w40. Throttle response is very quick and snappy, overall quality of this bike is very good. Well see after the miles start to build up but first impressions are very solid well built machine with lots of power. The front forks ive heard were kind of sketchy but after turning the clickers out 3 clicks they seem very good also. Its set up for dunes now and the trip is very soon so will post pics and more info then. The handle bar switch and under seat switch for different power levels is a bit confusing, I set the switch on the handlebar to 2 along with the dial/switch under the seat to 2...didn't really notice any big difference from stock setting of 1 for both. Will play with it a bit and see what the changes are.
