• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Dungey Wins!! So maybe R. Dungey isn't as fast in pure lap times as Villi or Bubba, but he is a great racer week in week out, and I think he will continue to get better and maybe Roger will keep improving the KTM.
Going back to the days when he was not a highly rated amateur, Decoster saw things in him no one else did (corner speed for one) and signed him up, and he showed last night he will always be a contender.
Great ambassador for the sport.

He looked strong for sure. RV gave him a mighty run for his money though. That was a great race for sure.

Very encouraging...I thought the season was pretty much over when CR22 went down. Dungey is fast and consistent. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes, but his fault (if it can called that) is that he doesn't take risks and ride further out on the margins of "in control" like the other 4 (Canard, Stewart, Reed, Villapoto). Although, it doesn't always pay off (Canard and Reed?). My guess is that some day he will find that extra second per lap...

I'm a big time Dungey fan and even though he rides a pumpkin he makes that thing look good. It looked like Villapoto was riding a little faster than track conditions would allow as he tried to catch him.

Last nights race was awesome, the last 2 laps were some of the best racing ive seen in a while. Im a Dungy fan too, gotta like midwesterners getting it done.

RD5 will have to string together several wins or RV1 has bad luck for him to get his second championship this yr... Both are possible ... But not likely....

Humm I don't know I thought RV was going down several times trying to catch Dungey. Anything can happen and if Dungey keeps getting good starts RV may go down in the chase mode.

RV1 has passed him all last yr (mx&sx)and has a 10 pt lead today ... Anything can happen but I doubt will be what decides the season ..

Catching is not a problem for these guys ...passing is not so easy ...

Looks like Ryan on Ryan again ....

And don't forget RD5 is the only person to win a championship in his rookie season ...

My heart was pounding...

And nothing like 70,000 people getting what they paid for!! (and the sponsors/advertisers)

Good stuff...

Great racing for sure. I think the development on the KTM is really coming along. I really thought RV would make the pass for the win, but it never came together. JS7 kind of got spanked, couldn't really see an obvious reason. He lost a little on that yellow flag and never made up any ground. I still don't think the Yamaha is a very good package.

Awesome race. JS has some speed and confidence happening too. RV is still the fastest guy out there and RD is still the smartest. To bad CR crashed, it would make this that much more fun. Best racing in years.

Was a good race. I was hoping to see a 3 way fight for the win & it looked like that might happen, but Bubba got caught by a red light on a triple and was then a non factor.

I'm just glad after all these years to see a non-jap bike starting to win. When is the last time that happened? late 70's, early 80's?

Wow, had not thought about it, but great trivia question. When was the last time a non Japanese bike won a Supercross big bike main event?

Grant Landston on a 125 KTM. He won the title on a KTM in 03.

Travis Preston won on a Husky in the lights on CR125 in 2001was classic. Grant Langston was leading on a KTM and broke the triple clamp and Preston rode tot he win and had no idea. Was one of the best podium interviews ever. Travis Preston was one funny F-er
