  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anybody tried the Risk Lock N Load on a 511?
I *think* the 511 is a touch wider at the pegs than the average mx bike.
Mine is lowered an inch, but after browsing through the website I don't think that will be an issue.

I used to have two of them in my old Tundra, but sold them when I figured I was done riding dirt (breaking a femur does that, but I am back on it). I am highly contemplating purchasing another. If you want some, let me know. I get them for less than retail, PM me for details (I don't normally sell these, just have an account).

I have two of them in my 5 by 8 cargo trailer. They fit the TE fine and work great. I have hauled my 450r and a WR with them and pleanty of peg room. I only bought them for my cargo trailer because they were the best solution for fitting two bikes. I wouldn't bother with them for a truck bed.

My Tacoma has no suspension with three bikes but can easily haul 4 bikes and all the gear plus more with two in the truck and two in my cargo trailer :)

The
Somehow you missed the point is to not need straps.
Oh , I stand corrected . You don't need straps lol

I can spell out my point . Straps are much better than lock and loads if what you are loading your bike into has strap hooks. Why drill holes in the truck bed when straps work better for a truck IMOA . The benifits on the Risk Racing is speed of securement. .... Just my two cents for the OP

Hey, I work in hollywood. Its getting hard to tell these days.
Wondered if she/he is a required accessory.
Just glad I've got a girl of my own.

Hey budd

Really like this system and need to secure my 17FE501 soon. Do you still have access to less than retail pricing?

Thanks,

Christian

These things are garbage. I've had them for a few years and the uprights rip from the base. The wall tubing is ridiculously thin with little to no bracing. The concept is great, but craftsmanship isn't. If you're capable building your own with heavier stock is the way to go.
